Accessibility Statement

This page states how accessible mymindstudio.ai is, how we test it, and what we know we have not solved. We sell an accessibility scanner. Publishing a vague statement here would be the wrong way to sell it.

What we are aiming for

We build and maintain this site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is the benchmark most organisations use, and the standard our own scanner tests against.

We do not claim to be "ADA compliant". For private businesses in the United States there is no published technical standard to be compliant with — the Department of Justice has never issued one for Title III. Any company telling you their website is certified ADA compliant is describing something that does not exist. WCAG 2.2 AA is the honest benchmark, so that is the one we name.

How we test

Three ways, because no single method is sufficient:

• Our own scanner, run against our own pages. It checks 17 automated tests covering 12 WCAG success criteria.
• Keyboard testing by hand. Every page must be fully operable with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space and the arrow keys, with a visible focus indicator at all times.
• Manual review of the things no tool can judge — whether alt text actually describes the image, whether headings reflect the real structure of the page, whether link text makes sense out of context.

Where we currently stand

At the last scan, our homepage returned no confirmed WCAG failures from automated testing.

One item is flagged for human review, and we are naming it here rather than leaving it out:

• Four product videos have no caption track. They are silent, muted screen recordings with no audio, and each carries an accessible name and a text description of what it shows. Under WCAG 1.2.1 a silent video needs a text alternative rather than captions, which these have. Our scanner still surfaces them, because it cannot tell from the page whether a video file contains speech — that is a question only a person with a play button can answer. We have answered it: they are silent.

What automated testing cannot tell you

Automated tools detect roughly a third of WCAG requirements. They find missing image descriptions, unlabelled form fields and insufficient colour contrast reliably. They cannot judge whether a description is accurate, whether a reading order makes sense, or whether a custom component behaves correctly with a real screen reader.

So a clean automated scan — of our site or yours — is a floor, not a certificate. We say the same thing inside the scanner itself, on every report it produces.

Known limitations

• We have not completed testing with every screen reader and browser combination. Our manual testing focuses on keyboard operation and structure.
• Some older blog articles were written before our current standards and may contain headings or link text we would write differently today. We correct these as we find them.
• Content served from third parties, where we embed it, is not fully within our control.
